The ethical culture of any organization can be deemed as the ethical personality of the same. An organization that forces a culture of cooperation always highlights the ethics involved in their day-to-day activity but on the other hand, this same culture is said to be detrimental when it enforces the “This is how we do things here” without paying heed to the ethics part. From the standpoint of ethical theories, developing and maintaining a strong ethical culture is critical to building an organization that encourages individuals to make ethical judgments and act ethically every day. People are influenced by a variety of circumstances and causes that influence them to take ethical shortcuts. However, ethical breakdown is considerably less likely when all relevant organizational processes are driving people in the same ethical direction.
